The USA’s not in short supply of fascinating stadiums. Whether it’s the exciting teams that play there, the breath-taking scale, architectural merit or the sporting history made in these palaces of athleticism and competition, we know you’re not going to want to miss out on these top sights.
Yankee Stadium, New York City
The Yankees are probably the most famous baseball team in the world. The iconic NY logo is instantly recognisable and adorns the front of many-a-baseball cap. The Yankee Stadium carries across this iconic style. Located in the Bronx, NYC, the stadium is constructed has a classical appearance reminiscent of a Roman colosseum but has all the latest mod-cons, including massive LED screens and an impressive Great Hall, that you’d expect in a truly awesome sports venue.

Caesars Superdome, New Orleans
It looks like a giant flying saucer in the middle of New Orleans’ CBD, but in reality, the Superdome is Louisiana’s premier American Football stadium. The home venue for NFL team New Orleans Saints and host of 7 Super Bowls, the Superdome shot to international fame in 2005 when it became the refuge for many of the victims of Hurricane Katrina, despite weathering serious damage itself. Fenway Park, Boston
Fenway Park in Boston is the oldest Major League Baseball stadium in the world! It’s been home to the Boston Red Sox since 1912, which despite being one of the most popular baseball teams in America is also known for having an 86 year-long drought of victories: the infamous Curse of the Bambino.
Non-sporting fans will recognise Fenway Park from the 2019 Hollywood blockbuster, Godzilla: King of Monsters in which the stadium featured as a major location… before being stomped to smithereens by the titular monster.
AT&T Park, San Francisco
Home of the San Francisco Giants baseball team, the AT&T Park made our list for the truly splendid views the stadium offers over San Francisco Bay. This is easily the most spectacularly located stadium in North America, if not the world.
When the game doesn’t thrill, the view from the stands beyond the field certainly makes up for it. Immediately behind the scoreboard are the sights of McCovey Cove – and nope, it’s not a Boaty McBoatface reference. This is a legit cove named after renowned baseballer and former Giant, Willie McCovey.
Madison Square Garden, New York City
Is this the most famous stadium in all the USA? It’s certainly up there. Opened in 1968, Madison Square Garden is the home of the New York Rangers hockey team and the New York Knicks basketball team.
The stadium has massive significance in sporting-history. It is the oldest NHL (National Hockey League) stadium in America and it hosted the first ever boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, back in 1971!
