So you’ve decided to take a relaxing vacation in beautiful New Mexico.
What better way to get some much needed rejuvenation than by soaking in groundwater that is geothermally heated by the earth’s crust, also known as hot springs?
Without further ado, here are, in my opinion, Northern New Mexico’s best hot spring and outdoor spa options.
1. Jemez Hot Springs
• 40 Abousleman Loop, Jemez Springs, NM 87025
If you’re looking for a nice hike and soak, head toward the Jemez Mountains. Some hot springs are easier to access than others like San Antonio Hot Springs, Giggling Springs and Spence Hot Springs.
2. Ten Thousand Waves
• 21 Ten Thousand Waves Way, Santa Fe, NM 87501
Vacationing in Santa Fe? Add this hot springs resort to your itinerary vacation time. The therapeutic temperatures will take you to a relaxing state of mind.
3. Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa
• 50 Los Banos Dr, Ojo Caliente, NM 87549
An on-site spa, restaurant and variety of outdoor activities, no wonder Ojo Caliente is a local and tourist favorite.
